In March the TOSAC Board of Directors had made the difficult decision to adapt the remainder of the 40th / 2019-2020 Anniversary Season which impacts all remaing productions slated for the end of the season. The decision came as a response to recommendations by the Centers for Disese Control (CDC) and local guidlines to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The health and safety of our patrons, casts, and crew are TOSAC’s number one priority. TOSAC joins many other theatres and performing arts venues both locally and around the nation forced to make adjustment to their programming.
It is our hope to reschedule Little Shop of Horrors, which had been in rehearsals since late February for later this year. This dedicated cast has continued to meet virtually under the direction of Caleb Goodman and his artistic team. At this time, our summer camp Music Man Jr. is cancelled. A decision has not been made regarding Steel Magnolias which had yet to hold auditions nor have we made a decision for the details of our annual Gala traditionally held in August.
The TOSAC board has continued to meet virtually at this time to focus on the best upcoming course of action for our community theatre. Rest assured this time has not been without action! In planning for next year, the board has a full slate of wonderful shows in consideration for the 41st season, our sound system has been upgraded and a new heating and cooling system installed. We are excited for what the future holds for our Storefront Theatre after this intermission!
